On the call of All India Democratic Organization (AIDYO) thousands of youth march towards parliament to demand employment.
Under the banner of AIDYO, a rally of thousands of youth started from Mandi House and moved towards Parliament. The rally was stopped by police at Jantar Mantar, where it converted into a mass gathering and
protest meeting.
Shri. Prakash Raj, a noted film actor and social activist and Professor Apurvanand, professor of Hindi at Delhi University, also addressed the meeting. The meeting was also addressed by Pratibha Nayak, General
Secretary, AIDYO, National Vice President Zubbair Rabbani & National President Janappa Aldali, and SUCI(C ) central committee member Comrade Arun singh.
Praksh Raj, the noted social activist said, “Due to wrong policies of government like demonetization, our country has lost millions of jobs. The current government has no policy to generate new employment. Because they have no policy, they are misleading youths toward the years to 34 years has reached 40 Crores. By 2021, we anticipate that this figure will be 64% of the country’s population. Government offers lip service on employment, but its pro-capitalist policies are the biggest hurdle in the new employment generation.
AIDYO’s National Vice President, Zubair Rabbani said, “We conducted a campaign against unemployment through out the country to raise the issue. Failing to provide employment, the government is shying away from sharing the number of employment generated per week, per
month or per year. After a long time when NSSO released the data it was found that the unemployment is rising at a rate of 6.2% in last 4-5 years, which we thing is not the actual correct picture. The situation is far more dreadful. Time to time, government is giving inflated & unscientific data on employment generation using fictious methods like PF accounts, sales of
commercial vehicles etc. However, the ground reality is that due to anti-people policies, the wealth of the capitalist class is rising enormously, while the people are loosing jobs with no new employment opportunities.”
National President Ramanjappa Aldali said,” Everyday nearly 2000 farmers are quitting agriculture and becoming migrant labourers moving away from their lands to far off cities and towns as the farm inputs have become extremely costly and agriculture as a profession has become too uncertain and unviable. Government has drastically cut spending on welfare schemes such as MGNREGA. Suicide of the farmers is agonizing. The youth is perplexed. They have only two options. Either it should suffer the pain because of unemployment or join the revolutionary movement to build a new
society, where unemployment is no more a problem. Our revolutionary organization AIDYO is continuously engaged in the task of building such a movement“issues like cow, communalism and castism. Hence, it is the duty of the youth to remove this government and continue the fight for employment. I am with you in this movement and I believe
you will be victorious in this movement.
Professor Apurvanand said, Today government is preparing an emotions in youth to favour the war.
But they have no answer to the pathetic situation of employment in the country. You have come to Delhi to raise this question and save the humanity. We welcome you with whole heart and wish you a success in this movement.
Pratibha Nayak, the General Secretary of AIDYO said, “Currently, unemployment is the highly burning issue faced by the youth of our country. AIDYO conducted a signature campaign across the country where millions of youth signed a demand letter. These signatures were handed over to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through Governors /Chief Ministers of various states. The letter has following demands: (1) Fill up all the existing vacancies in governments on a war footing, (2) Declare ‘Right to Employment’ a fundamental right, (3) Stop contractualisation of jobs and make them permanent, and (4) Provide Unemployment Allowance till decent job.”

The government has now created an army of unemployed youths where the number of unemployed people between the age of 15 ars to 34 years has reached 40 Crores. By 2021, we anticipate that this figure will be 64% of the country’s population.
