Sri Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI (Communist) has issued the following statement today 17th June, 2020:

It is a matter of deep concern and shock that when the entire world including India is in the grip of a severe attack of deadly Covid-19, when both India and China have been engaged in negotiations with a view to resolving border dispute in Eastern Ladakh, all of a sudden on Monday (15th June 2020) a violent clash occurred which took the lives of at least 20 Indian soldiers till now.

We therefore urge upon the Government of India and China to sit immediately together to find out a just solution of the border problem peacefully without US imperialist or any other third party’s involvement.
