We strongly condemn the most despicable act of Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister of External Affairs, in abusing her official position to intercede with the UK government and arrange in an highly illegal manner to secure travel document in favor of Lalit Modi, the former IPL Chairman, a scam master accused of money laundering and a runaway from the Enforcement Directorate, the Central Investigating Agency. This once again exposes how hollow and deceptive is the claim of the RSS-BJP combine of offering a clean corruption free society. On the contrary it also reveals how bourgeois rulers like Smt Sushma Swaraj are trampling down at their sweet will the high principles of ethics and morality so very important in running the Government in a country.
We demand that Smt. Sushma Swaraj should immediately step down from Ministership and a high level judicial committee should be constituted by the central government to probe into the matter and bring out the truth with due expediency.
