Comrade Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI(Communist) has issued the following statement on 28 May 2023:
‘‘We vehemently condemn the most atrocious and despotic act on the part of the BJP-led central government of arresting Comrades Ritu Kaushik, Delhi State Secretary, AIMSS, Rajender Singh, member, Haryana Stare Committee, SUCI(C) and Comrade Jaykaran, Haryana State Secretary, AIKKMS with a view to frustrating the proposed Mahapanchayet of women protesters in front of the Parliament House today in solidarity with the agitating women wrestlers who have been demanding of arrest of the President of Wrestling Federation of India, also a BJP MP, accused of molesting them for long by abusing his position.
We demand immediate release of our arrested comrades and call upon democratic-minded people at large to join the countrywide protest movement being developed by our Party and its class and mass fronts against such a wanton repressive measure of the BJP government.’’
