Comrade Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI(C), issued the following statement on 17-04-23:
The Central Committee of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (communist), is of the firm opinion that the reported revelations made by the erstwhile governor of Jammu and Kshmir on the tragic death of 40 soldiers in an attack on the convoy of CRPF soldiers in February 2019, in Pulwama is shocking to say the least, and demands high powered judicial enquiry to unearth the whole truth. The former governor is unsparing about the reluctance on the part of the PM even to pull up the home minister who did not arrange transportation of the soldiers by arranging hardly 4-5 flights even when requested, because of which 40 human lives were lost. It is reported that when this serious lapse was brought to the notice of the PM, the governor was asked to maintain silence, in view of the ensuing polls to the Lok Sabha. Further the governor goes on to mention about the way the PM had asked him to maintain silence when he, during his tenure as Governor of Goa, brought the incidents of corruption of the government of Goa to his notice. Rather he was transferred to Meghalaya as governor soon after that.
The Central Committee of the SUCI(C) demands that whole truth should be revealed before the people.
