AIDYO Ernakulam district committee organised a youth campaign raising the demands “Save BSNL,Save net nutrality”.Com.T.K.Sudhirkumar,state president ,AIDYO inagurated the campaign which was held in front of the telephone exchange.
Sucessive governments have followed a nefarious policy that has only led to the domination of the public – owned telecom sector by private companies. The present Modi government also follows a policy that is no different. all the public enterprises that should ideally be working for the welfare of the people are now on the brink of ruin. A few monopolies should not be allowed to use the vast progress that our country has made in the field of science and technology, to make gargantuan profits by looting the common masses. It is for this same reason that people should take up the cause of net neutrality. He called upon the people of the country to co – operate with activities that the youth have initiated across the country. K. Padmanabhan, leader of the BSNL employees union was the main speaker.
P.M. Dinesan, Secretary, AIUTUC,Ernakulam district, K.P. Salvin, President, AIDSO, Ernakulam district and others spoke on the ocassion. P.P. Augustine, President, AIDYO, Ernakulam district, presided over the meeting while K.O Sudhir, Secretary, AIDYO,Ernakulam district and Johny Joseph delivered the welcome address and vote of thanks repsectively.
