Sri Pravas Ghosh General Secretary of SUCI Communist has issued the following statement today.
We are totally astonished to know from media report that people coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh to India with visa are discriminated on the criteria of religion. If a Hindu or of any other religion other than Islam fails to go back within the sanctioned period would be penalized with an amount of fine far less than the amount fixed for the Muslims in such a case.
We strongly condemn this heinous rule as it contravenes the civilized norm and international practice and demand its immediate repeal.
