Condolence message from Comrade Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI(C) to BASAD (Marxist) on demise of Comrade Mubinul Haider Choudhury

Dear Comrades,
On behalf of SUCI (Communist), I convey my heart-felt condolence to the profoundly grief-stricken leaders, cadres and supporters of BASAD (Marxist), at the demise of Comrade Mubinul Haider Choudhury, founder General Secretary of BASAD (Marxist) and a renowned revolutionary leader of Bangladesh.
It is known to many of you that Comrade Mobinul Haider Choudhury started his revolutionary political life in India. He was living in Kolkata in undivided British- ruled India with his elder brother. Just after adolescence, he, in his early youth, came in contact with the great Marxist leader and thinker and Founder General Secretary of SUCI(Communist), Comrade Shibdas Ghosh, in 1951. Inspired by his teachings and having received revolutionary training under him, Comrade Haider devoted himself wholeheartedly to revolutionary struggle forsaking all attractions of a conventional life.
While in India, he had participated in many anti-Congress mass movements, faced police atrocities and was sent to jail on quite a number of occasions. He played a commendable role in the working class movements, movements of the poor peasants and agricultural workers, youth and cultural movements as well as in anti-communal movements. In the process, he developed as an able organizer. He also played an important role in building SUCI (C) organization in Delhi and Haryana.

Though he did not have opportunity to receive formal education, he, imbued with the teachings of Comrade Shibdas Ghosh as well as fervently inspired by the living association with the great leader, acquired remarkable ability in elucidating Marxist philosophy, in correctly analysing national and international situations, in conducting attractive discussion on Art-Literature-Culture, as well as developing revolutionary party, class and mass fronts, generating tremendous attraction towards revolutionary ideology and revolutionary party among the youth and rousing people with penetrating appeal to acquire higher values and human essence as well as enlivening their conscience.
His only mission in life was to spread the revolutionary ideology of Marxism- Leninism-Shibdas Ghosh Thought, build up the revolutionary party and develop revolutionary movement. In pursuit of that mission, he went to Bangladesh, his birthplace, in 1972 and braving all difficulties and odds, conducted an exemplary struggle all alone to inspire many intellectuals, bright students and youth as well as poor toiling masses, and in the process founded BASAD (Marxist), the only genuine revolutionary party on that soil.
In later days, he was afflicted by many diseases. But ignoring all such ailments and overcoming age-related physical and mental limitations, he relentlessly conducted his revolutionary life struggle till he breathed his last.
Having acquired nobler feelings of heart, higher knowledge and a very bright revolutionary character based on the teachings of Comrade Shibdas Ghosh, he had earned high esteem and reverence among many people in Bangladesh and India.

BASAD (Marxist) leaders offering revolutionary tribute
with tears to Comrade Mubinul Haider Choudhury
in Dhaka on 7 July

As a true proletarian internationalist, he played a significant role in propagating and spreading Marxism-Leninism-Shibdas Ghosh Thought in many European and Arab countries, and in developing anti-imperialist movement.
Possessing a noble character and high cultural standard, inspired by the teachings of Comrade Shibdas Ghosh, this revolutionary fighter had infinite love for the exploited people, had unquestioned allegiance to Marxism-Leninism-Shibdas Ghosh Thought and proletarian internationalism, was tempered in fighting against obstacles, and was unflinching in his commitment to revolutionary ideology and revolutionary work. He was very affectionate and endearing to the juniors. He had no self-conceit, was averse to self-projection and very modest.
We gratefully remember his valuable role in advancing revolutionary movement in India.
Our Party is of firm opinion that BASAD (Marxist), the true revolutionary party of Bangladesh, would, with an object to fulfil the dream of departed Comrade Mubinul Haider Choudhury, unwaveringly hold aloft the banner of Marxism- Leninism-Shibdas Ghosh Thought and proletarian internationalism and move forward in building and strengthening movement against the national bourgeoisie and world imperialism.
Our Party also strongly believes that the bond of solidarity and fraternity between BASAD (Marxist) of Bangladesh and SUCI(Communist) of India, both of whom believe in proletarian internationalism, would remain intact and be further cemented in the days to come.
Red Salute Comrade Mubinul Haider Choudhury, a life-long revolutionary!
Long Live BASAD (Marxist)!
Long Live Marxism-Leninism-Shibdas Ghosh Thought!
Long Live proletarian internationalism!
Long Live Revolution!
On behalf of our Party, we offer Red Salute to you all.
With revolutionary greetings
Provash Ghosh
