Shri Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI (Communist), has issued the following statement today :—
“The recent media reports about the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death on 1.12.2014 of 48 years old CBI judge Brijgopal Harkishan Loya, presiding over the Sohrabuddin encounter death case, have raised many questions which need to be answered. Since one of the accused in the case was Sh. Amit Shah — Gujarat’s Minister of state for Home at the time of the encounter and the BJP’s national President at the time of Judge Loya’s death.
The Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) demands that that the central Government should immediately issue orders paving the way for setting up a time-bound judicial enquiry to inquire into the cause of judge B.H. Loya’s death.”
