Martyrs’ Day of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh’ observed at National Martyrs’ Memorial, Hussainiwala, Punjab

On the occasion of the Martyrs’ Day of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev AIDSO payed its tribute to the martyrs’ at National Martyrs’ Memorial, Hussainiwala, Punjab.

AIDSO volunteers organised a book stall in the park and sold the booklet- Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh – Ik Marxvadi Mulankan, the Punjabi version of the booklet- Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh – A Marxist Outlook by Com. Provash Ghosh, the General Secretary of Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) and a photo of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh. This book has tremendous impact on the students, intellectuals and conscious people. A student named Harpreet Singh read the book and offered to organise a Book Stall in his college, in which entry of outsiders was strictly prohibited.

A left political activist Gurbachan Singh was so impressed with the political analysis of the book that he wants to meet Com. Provash Ghosh. After a massive campaign, leaflet distribution, group discussion and booklet selling, a Public Meeting was organised jointly by All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) and ‘Shaheed Ate Chintak Yaadgar Kameti’ on 26th March 2017 at Tarksheel Bhawan, Patiala.

Many eminent intellectuals, citizens and students participated in the meeting. Com. Aminderpal Singh, Convenor of ‘Shaheed Ate Chintak Yaadgar Kameti’ and In-charge, SUCI(C), Punjab presided over the meeting. Com. Satyawan, Central Committee Member of SUCI(C) delivered his talk as chief Speaker. Com. Inder Singh, Co-Convenor of ‘Shaheed Ate Chintak Yaadgar Kameti’ and Com. Shibasis Praharaj, Secretariat Member, AIDSO, All India Committee were also participated in the meeting
