Central Committee, SUCI (Communist) has issued the following statement today:
“We strongly condemn the arrest of professor Anand Teltumbde and Guatham Navlakha by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) over concocted charges in the Bhima Koregaon case.
It is a fascistic move to suppress the voice of protest and create fear among those protesting. It is highly condemnable that they have been incarcerated in the the Covid-19 pandemic days . Professor Anand Teltumbde is a much known intellectual and civil rights activist and a fighter against caste discrimination, fascistic measures and undemocratic move of Hindutva forces in the country.
We demand the immediate release of professor Anand Teltumbde and Guatham Navlakha.”
