In a statement dated 26 March 2021, Comrade Mubinul Haider Chowdhury, General Secretary, Bangladesher Samjtantrik Dal (Marxist)–BASAD (M)-strongly condemned opening fire on the protesters belonging to Chhatra and Yuba Leagues and other forces against visit of fascist Narendra Modi, representative of Indian imperialism and perpetrator of communal riots, in Dhaka and Chattogram killing four on the spot.
The very effort to crush the protest which is a democratic right of Bangladesh people, the ruling Awami League has unfolded its fascist face. Comrade Chowdhury further said that though their party has ideological and political differences with many of the protesting parties and forces, we decry opening fire on them and demand impartial probe into the matter as well as exemplary punishment to the guilty.
