Shri Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI (Communist) on 18 October 2021 expresses deep shock and concern over the incidents of attack on the idols, temples in some places of Bangladesh by the Islamic fundamentalist forces exploiting a conspiratorial preplanned act perpetrated by the same forces.
It is known fact that communal tension, or riot not only destroys human lives and properties, it destroys the unity of toiling people, divides them, distracts attention from the real problems of life, harms democratic and progressive movement and strengthens ruling exploiting class, parties and reactionary forces.
Not only secular democratic minded people, but also honest religious minded peoples cannot but strongly condemn such heinous acts. It is heartening to note that the common people at large have come out openly against this conspiratorial act of the communal forces and standing firm in maintaining people’s unity in Bangladesh.
