The All India Committee of AIMSS welcomes the Supreme Court Judgement delivered by three

judge Bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra, which confirms the death penalty to the four convicts in the

nirbhaya gang rape and murder case of 2012.

The inhuman and ghastly Nirbhaya incident had shook the conscience of the entire nation. The

present judgement upholding the punishment declared by the two lower courts earlier is a strength to the

voice of the people against the growing crimes on women in the country.

AIMSS recalls the glorious struggle led by thousands of students, youth and parents braving all

odds in New Delhi in particular and all over the country in general which demanded in one voice for the

stringent punishment to the perpetrators of crime against Nirbhaya. Now at this presnt juncture AIMSS

calls upon all the people –men and women –to remain firm, united and vigilant until the punishment is

meted out to the criminals.
