AIUTUC denounces withdrawal of government contribution to PF and demands scrapping of four labour codes

In a statement dated 06-05-23, Shankar Dasgupta, General Secretary, AIUTUC, vehemently denounced the blatant anti-employee decision of the union BJP ministry to withdraw the government contribution of 1.16% per month to Employees Pension Scheme and has shifted the burden to the employees. Such provision will substantially reduce the residual amount of employers’ contribution to PF which in effect will adversely affect the PF accumulation in the long run. He also demanded immediate scrapping of the anti-worker ‘Four Labour Codes’.
