All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC) congratulates the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers of Haryana for their glorious victory of their prolonged legitimate movement.They organized a 118 day long strike to press for a 19 point demands. Under pressure of movement, the BJP-led Haryana government conceded most of the demands.Unitedly and courageously, these Anganwadi workers, mostly women, overcame all suppressive and repressive measures of the government and frustrated disruptive and conspiratorial acts of some anti-worker forces. This prolonged heroic united struggle of thousands of downtrodden working women will be marked as a glorious chapter in the annals of the working class movement in India in which the AIUTUC has played a commendable role.
This victorious movement will no doubt inspire all sections of the working people to launch united and sustained movements against the mounting fascistic onslaughts of the anti-worker and pro-monopoly governments, both at the Centre and in the states.
